The Association held its annual general meeting via Zoom last Tuesday, 30 June 2020 and it was great to see so many members attend. It was a bit of an experiment for us, but the format, even with larger numbers, worked well.
At the meeting, a new Officer team was confirmed for the ensuing year with Sean Donovan-Smith, Ged Hall and Andrew Bolton elected as Chairman, Deputy Chairman Political and Deputy Chairman Finance & Membership respectively. Peter Martin, Carol May and Juanita Sharman were all re-elected as honorary officers of the Association.
The state of the Association continues to improve, with increasing membership and more capacity for campaigning. Of course, the situation with Coronavirus has led to less in person activity, but the Association continues to be active remotely and we have been adhering to the Government’s guidance to mitigate the spread of Coronavirus. As the restrictions on us are relaxed, we are planning more activities later this year.
