Farncombe Flood Barrier Gets Go-Ahead

Planning permission has been granted for the new flood defences along the Allotments and Meadrow which will protect Godalming & Farncombe residents from a repeat of the terrible floods of Christmas 2013.

Green Oak School to remain open

Green Oak School in Godalming is to remain open for the next year while further options are explored.

The school had received an 'Inadequate' Ofsted report in January 2017 and no Multi-Academy Trust had been identified to take the school on, meaning it was threatened with closure.

The disabled public loo in the centre of Farncombe has this week been opened as a unisex and disabled loo for a 3 month trial period.
