David is committed to improving and aiding his local community. He has been deputy chairman of the Elstead Village Hall & Youth Centre Committee for several years, helping to oversee the wide range of improvements to both buildings. In addition, he is a proactive member of the Elstead Village Neighbourhood Plan.
Since being elected to Waverley Borough Council in 2015, David has served as Chairman on the Joint Planning Committee as well as the Community Wellbeing Overview and Scrutiny Committee and the Standards Committee.
During his four years as your Councillor, David has supported the Parish Councils and individual residents in various controversial planning issues and presented the local point of view at committee meetings.
David hopes to ensure that the special nature of the pretty villages of Elstead, Thursley, and Brook is preserved and enhanced for future generations and, as development inevitably comes to our villages, will strive to ensure it is appropriate and acceptable to the residents and neighbourhoods.
